Bird Dome Jar — Decorative Storage Jar

A quiet little bird rests atop a soft dome, waiting to be lifted. The Bird Dome Jar is a keeping-vessel in the old Indian sense — the kind that sat on a mantel or a puja shelf holding mishri, elaichi, kesar, or something small and precious enough to deserve a lid.

The body is turned in iron with a warm brass polish; the dome lid and pedestal carry a matte powder-coated finish in a soft blush-ivory, topped with a polished brass bird finial. The contrast of gleam against matte is what gives the piece its stillness — ornamental without asking for attention.
